Flashpoint
Cooling rage and anger outbursts with DBT
Explosive anger is the fastest, highest-stakes version of the urge-versus-action gap: the trigger fires, the urge to explode arrives already at full volume, and the words or the slammed door often follow before any gap exists at all. This program works that gap directly — urge surfing the spike, the STOP wedge and TIPP brakes for when nothing else can land, opposite action for anger that doesn't fit the facts, a fair-complaint bridge for anger that does, and a log that turns 'I just have a temper' into numbers.
The flashpoint has a shape, too
- Anger that arrives already at full volume, with no runway to catch it.
- Words said at the peak that cost you for weeks.
- The slammed door, the thrown thing, the walk-out.
- "I just have a temper" — offered as an explanation, and believed.
- Advice to count to ten, from people whose anger gives them ten seconds.
Your anger-urge log sets the target
Not a course you watch — a loop you run. Flashpoint logs every spike, whether you exploded, held, or acted opposite, and grows the gap target from your own evidence — with rungs set shorter throughout, because this curve compresses.
Measure
A sixty-second log after any spike — what set it off, how loud it ran, what you did, how long the gap held, and what it cost.

Short sessions with Nathan teach the method — the flashpoint curve, the brakes, opposite action, delay, fast repair.

The weekly review grows, holds, or steps down your gap target from the log's own evidence.
weekly review↻ the loop runs weekly — six times
The gap target grows the same way a pause ladder does — from your log's evidence, not a schedule. But every rung here is set shorter than in the slower programs, because on the flashpoint curve the trigger and the urge often arrive together. A gap of seconds, held reliably, is the win.

DBT: crisis & impulse · ดูแล 4 โปรแกรม
The crisis-and-impulse specialist — calm, direct, built for the moment right before you do something you'll regret. Nathan's whole job is the sixty seconds between urge and action.
“Hi, I'm Nathan. Over the next six weeks we're not going to stop your anger firing — we're going to build a gap on the fastest curve there is, and count it in your own numbers.”
Urge mechanics, aimed at the fastest curve
Flashpoint applies the DBT urge and crisis mechanics — the urge-versus-action gap, STOP, TIPP, urge surfing, opposite action, chain and solution analysis, and cope ahead — to explosive anger specifically. Opposite action branches on two checks: whether the anger fits the facts, and whether acting on it serves your goals. Anger that does fit gets a fair-complaint bridge rather than a suppression instruction.

- Opposite action, with a justified-anger branch
- Chain and solution analysis
- Cope ahead and fast repair
The strictest screen in the catalog
Four separate hard gates stop the program at onboarding until professional support is engaged: violence toward another person, whether past or as a current urge; weapons access combined with rage episodes; driving while enraged; and property destruction at a level that risks injuring someone. That is stricter than any other anger content here, and it is framed as care rather than judgment.
Below that threshold the full program runs normally. Substance-fuelled anger is flagged rather than gated, with a Clear Path routing note. The professional-support and routing cards persist after graduation, one tap from every screen. This is not medical advice, and not a crisis or violence-intervention service.

How is this different from Even Keel?
Even Keel works the whole anger system in CBT — appraisal, early cues, expression, repair — over a slower curve. Flashpoint is for anger that arrives already at full volume, and works the urge-versus-action gap directly with DBT's crisis mechanics.
Will this tell me my anger is wrong?
No. Opposite action branches on whether the anger fits the facts — and anger that does fit gets a fair-complaint bridge, not a suppression instruction. An alarm that never rings isn't fixed, it's disconnected.
What if my anger has involved violence?
Then this program stops at onboarding and points you to professional support first — that's one of four hard gates, alongside weapons access with rage episodes, driving while enraged, and property destruction that risks injury. It's care, not judgment, and the door stays open.
How much time does it take?
Sixty seconds after any spike, and ten to fifteen minutes most days for the session. Logging hours late is fine.
